Our first bout with a bug!

Here is my entry to the Crazy Amigo Challenge for the week! I haven't done a challenge in a while, and I have a whole book of trout pics so this was perfect! Thanks!
We put 9yo Abbey to bed at 7:30 last night because she was complaining of a sore throat. She woke us up about 6 times complaining of it during the night and now she just woke us up at 5:30 vomiting! Well, sugar, I guess we'll be missing school today! I was so hoping for a year of perfect attendance! Does strep throat come with the vomiting, too? Why does she have both symptoms? I guess I'll call the doctor's office in a little while.
I haven't been creating much new lately. I have, though, been adding some destash to my shop, trying to get rid of the scrapbooking materials that I procured last winter. I would love to clear out the space in my studio and have a few extra dollars, too! I had planned for today to be a creative day, but with Abbey sick, I'm not sure anymore! I spent yesterday morning cleaning and it was Noah's first day at preschool, which went fabulously btw! So I'm "allowed" to waste today away in my studio! We'll have to see how the day unfolds. . .

Hooray for Friday!

Another sleepless night for me! I don't know what the problem was, but I went to bed at ten and then woke up at 11:03 and couldn't get back to sleep for hours!! I feel okay right now, but know all too well that in a few more hours I will be dragging. After dd's ortho appointment and ds's playdate, I will be happy to take a nap.
I've been steadily making a card a day and listing each one, also. But I've had no sales at my etsy shop and not one inquiry either! I'm keeping hopeful and faithful and know that someday soon one will pop up! My views were super low yesterday so I'm thinking today I should make some treasuries and spend a little time in the forums after spending time in my studio. I have a blank canvas that I'd like to get started on. I bought some new books for tearing up and am hoping I'll find inspiration in these.
Preschool starts Monday and I am so looking forward to having some time to go running! I haven't been out since the 5K I ran as it was right at the start of the school year. It's been too confusing for me to run when the dh gets home from work as that's when dinner is planned. Now that preschool is starting I'll be carefree for two hours four times a week! Woohoo!

It's 1am and I'm up cooking fish. I'm waiting for my sweet husband to get home after working all day at the elections. Now that I've started cooking it, I wish I hadn't as I remember that the ds's preschool teacher will be here in the morning and now the house is going to be stinky! No, no, it's not rotten old fish, just frozen fish filets, but it will be stinky nonetheless! I'll just have to politely explain to the teacher. . .
A teammate from etsy was kind enough to point me in the weddings direction! She pointed out that weddings are a big hulabaloo on etsy and maybe I should make some wedding cards! Fabulous idea! What an easy theme, too! I delved into my supply of pressed flowers for the first of the cards and this is what I've come up with. Can you believe these flowers are over four years old? The flowers on the card on the right have been sprayed with some gold glimmer mist. I'll have to remember to check and see what kind of traffic the cards are getting in the weddings section!
I cleaned today and now my allergies are killing me! I've been sneezing all day! I swear I just cleaned last week but obviously I should be cleaning more often with how much dust there was flying about! Eww!
I've joined two new teams on etsy: the Loud and Wacky Team and the Positivity Team. The former seems like a lot of fun and I think the latter I can really gain some perspective from. Well, as much as you can from a team, that is! I've really enjoyed being on the Clevelandteam and have made some good friends there, too.
